It's tough making friends

Having a young dog is less rewarding than I remember. He's just such an asshole. When we're in the house and he's not in my face: 👍 all the rest of the time he's driving me crazy.

Vets apparently do not recommend getting them castrated unless it's necessary, but it's feeling pretty necessary right now. He's now humping other dogs which is an absolute dealbreaker for me. Hopefully it'll curb some of his other irritating behaviour too.

Feels like a personal failing but there's just too many attributes of his character that are totally objectionable, and when he's around other animals he is completely oblivious to any commands he would otherwise obey. Treats have no effect (on a Labrador ffs!), which is pretty much my last-ditch. Not how I wanted this to play out, but things change.
