I bought Tabitha the Harry Potter and Hedwig brickheadz. I really like them (except that "z" that could, and should, be an "s") so I decided I'd try to make Homer Simpson. Two Brick Owl orders later I had all the parts I wanted and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I'd like to do more of them but you need really specific bricks and it's expensive and I'm lazy.
