Continuing my season of doing things that feel illegal, I went to a gig. Employed to Serve announced a surprise show at Green Door Store and I had to go.

Charlotte wanted to go to the allotment, so Tabitha and I went to a butterfly farm. I love a good butterfly farm, and this one has a couple of frogs.

I've wanted to eat here for a long time. Since before we even got the project to do their website, really. I think they opened the Southampton one whilst we were still living there.

Ears clearing up, putting on weight, becoming more cat-like every day.

Poorly Friday. She has something up with her ears and they're super waxy. Vet says it's not mites, which is something at least, but it's still not very pleasant and I hope it blows over soon.

No, I don't need this. No, that doesn't matter; I have tonnes of things I don't need. That sounds like a brag but it's not meant to.

I know it's a bit basic taking pictures of flowers but I love them and I will not stop.

Friday is now vaccinated, so Bill Gates knows exactly where she is and what she's thinking.

Pretty eventful week for a tiny cat. She loves to be the centre of attention, even when she's asleep.

The ratio of prepare-time to eating-time makes cooking a totally unappealing task for me. But it does make me incredibly grateful that Charlotte enjoys it!

Continuing to settle in nicely. Totally OK with the dog now, so this week we'll be moving on to leaving her for short periods.

I am determined to get used to a Choc setup. It's definitely getting there with this.

We've had a week with this lovely little cat, and she's settling in beautifully.

I love these slow sunrises, where the light gradually peels up over the cliffs from behind. I feel like there's a better way to capture it, but this is the best I could do from like 30 attempts and I didn't want to end up getting sick of it.

After many attempts to convince me, we got a kitten. Her name is Friday, and she is a Ragdoll. She is very sweet and settling in quite nicely. 100% not sure what to make of Sudo but she'll get there!

I wouldn't say I'm a selfish person, but I do enjoy having all this to myself on occasion.

This is essentially an LP Corne version of my Skeletyl, and I am very into it but I still haven't found Kailh Choc switches that I like.

This year I am taking more holiday. Like everyone, my life feels like it hasn't moved for two years, and over the past couple of months I've felt like it's significantly affecting my mood, and my overall attitude to my life. I feel totally uninspired by taking pictures, right now, and that is something that has always been able to lift me up.

The pursuit of minimalism in keyboard layouts is as much an exercise in programming muscle memory as it is indulging Gear Acquisition Syndrome. Making a usable layout on something that only has a few more keys than the English alphabet has letters is pretty tricky.
